Why Melbourne?

So you're asking why should Melbourne have the honor of hosting the 2028 Olympics?  Well I ask you why not! Melbourne has so much to offer, from its many world class sporting venues including the MCG and Etihad Stadium, its Famous restraunts and entertainment facilites, Melbourne's many famous parks and gardens and of course Melbourne is one of the world most Mulitcultral Cities which would ensure every nation would have a fan base at the Games. Melbourne is know for its passion for sport and is considered to be the sporting captial of the world with many large sporting event's held each week, including AFL with an average of 5 games being played in the city each week averaging a crowd of over 32,000 with many attracting crowds of around the 90,000 mark for the more popular teams. Melbourne is widely known as the Australian cultural and sporting capital. It has thrice shared top position in a survey by The economist of the World's Most Livable Cities on the basis of its cultural attributes, climate, cost of living, and social conditions such as crime rates and health care.  In 2002, 2004 and 2005. Melbourne has proven its self capable of hosting large events successfully time and time again hosting events such as the Australian Open Tennis tournament annualy, the Australian round of the F1 Grand Prix annualy, The Spring Racing Carnavil with the Melbourne Cup (one of the world's most prestigeous racing events), The AFL Grand Final held the last Saturday in September, The 2007 FINA World Campionships, The 2006 Commonwealth Games and hosted the 1956 Olympic Games for the first time ever in the Southern hemisphere!
